This property offers beautiful panoramic views looking out over the valley to the town of Barga and the mountains including one of Tuscany’s highest mountains, Pania della Croce.
The property consists of the main house on three levels and the annex on two levels surrounded by a well-tended garden.
The ground floor of the main house consists of an entrance hall, dining room with fireplace and pellet stove, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen.
A stone staircase leads up to the first floor with three bedrooms and a distribution hall.
The house is built on a slightly sloping plot, so the three basements are only accessed from the back of the house. The basements have previously been used as a summer kitchen, bathroom and storage/boiler room. At the back of the house there is plenty of space for parking cars and the space can easily become a good terrace. There is also a terrace at the front of the house.
The top floor of the annex consists of a large room that could be renovated into a bedroom with a spiral staircase to the lower floor of the annex. Currently there are separate entrances to the two floors.
The lower floor of the annex has a bathroom and summer kitchen with a wood-burning stove and dining table. There is also a pizza oven with access from the outside only. In front of this summer kitchen there is a good dining area.
The garden is well landscaped with roses and several fruit trees including olives and is currently a paradise for families with children with an area with a swing set and football pitch. There are many cozy corners, whether you’re looking for sun or shade.
As an added bonus, the town has its own public pool just 150 meters from the property! The local restaurant is just 200 meters from the property.

Barga is a little gem 35 km north of Lucca in the Garfagnana Valley.
A town with limited accommodation but an incredibly rich cultural life. There are opera and jazz festivals in the summer. Barga has a market day every Saturday morning all year round. There is also an all-day market on the 2nd Sunday of every month.
The Garfagnana Valley is justly famous for its prosciutto, pork, pecorino cheese and honey and within the walls of the old town, there are many excellent restaurants where you can sample local specialties in a true Tuscan atmosphere.
A little gem with life and lots of character.
